Great Coaches Bring Great Results

My son Matt Tadich is a freshman at Blair Academy. In mid December 2007 Matt got ill and by the end of December Matt was diagnosed with mono and an extremely enlarged spleen. Being put on medical restrictions from any and all activities, Matt's freshman wrestling year was over before it even really started.
In March of 2008, Matt came home for his 3 week Spring break. When he got his medical release on March 7th, Matt asked me if he could compete at the Freshman Nationals since that was all he had left of his Freshman year. My reply was "no way. How could you ever be trained or strength conditioned enough to compete?" Matt's answer was "Coach Miron." He showed me a training schedule he had made and asked me to call Coach Miron. I made the phone call and Coach agreed to train Matt.
The schedule called for 3 trips to Coach Miron's over the next 18 days with 5 hours of one-on-one training with Coach each day for 9 days. Coach Miron revised the schedule to include strength conditioning, running, nutrition and proper rest.
We followed the schedule to the letter, including training on Easter Sunday, with Easter dinner at Coach Miron's home with his family. We left Coach Miron's after our last 3 hour training session on Monday, March 24, 2008. By Friday, March 28th, Matt was the Freshman National Champion.
Only one man would have put their heart and soul into one wrestler like this, and that man is Coach Miron. His training techniques, along with his style of wrestling are very different and very difficult. In fact, many parents think they are too difficult. However, when you choose the tough road in life, you'll always be glad you did. Coach Miron is that tough road, but results are the measuring stick in this sport, and Coach Miron gets results.
According to Matt, 45 hours of one-on-one training with Coach Miron is like going into the desert for 30 days without food or water and with a 100 pound brick strapped on your back. It's intense. It's tough...but it's worth it.
As important as training is, peaking to perform at your highest level is just as essential. I wish more coaches would pay more attention to peak performance, and I wish more parents and wrestlers could experience the compassion, dedication and pursuit of excellence that Coach Miron holds for each and every wrestler he trains. He gives from the heart.

the bottom line and they tell all. My son Matt never before placed at the Pennsylvania States. In March
of 2006, at the age of fourteen, he placed in the Pennsylvania States for the first time ever. Matt had
never won in the
Tulsa Kickoff Classic. That is a result. Team Miron took approximately ten kids to
November, 2006, and garnered three National Championships.

Miron,
This is Dave Koppenhaver from PA, (Dan's dad). I want to thank you for helping Dan reach the
next level. Today
at Fall States Dan beat a kid 5-4; last February Dan lost to Bison 13-3.
Dan wasn't great, but when he uses the 2
on 1 he is very tough.
Dan will wrestle 135-140 for the upcoming season. He weighed 140, but wrestled
145 because the competition was better in that bracket. He is no Dustin Schlater, but Dan is a very tough
and physical kid. He has a very good front headlock; thanks for your help!
Dan is a sophomore this year, but
I believe he should qualify for states and that he has good chance to place if he can master the 2 on 1.
People are starting to notice Dan. If you go to www.offthemat.net under AA at 125 Dan Koppenhaver is listed
at 19. He has beaten some of the kids listed above him. I believe in my heart that Dan is going to place at
Hershey. He has all the tools to succeed.
Miron, you said you would bring Dan to the next level. I believe
that after the 11 day camp my son has reached the next level. He still has a lot of work to do, but you kept
your promise and helped Dan reach the next level. Thanks for caring about Dan.
